Breaded Pork Chops
4 center cut pork chops
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons shortening
1/4 cup water
Parsley
Dip chops in flour that is mixed with salt and pepper. Mix egg
and milk
together and dip chops into mixture. Brown chops on all sides in
hot
shortening. Add water. Cover and cook over low flame for 45
minutes (or
until tender). For crisp coating, remove cover for last 15
minutes. Garnish
with parsley.
