Dutch Apple French Toast

3/4 Cup butter
1-1/2 Cups brown sugar
3 Tablespoons dark corn syrup
4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 loaf cinnamon raisin bread
8 eggs
1 Quart milk
1-1/2 Teaspoons vanilla

Heat the sugar, butter and corn syrup until syrupy. Pour into a 10" x 15"
pan. Spread apples over syrup. Cut the crusts off the bread and layer the
slices of bread over the apples. Beat the remaining ingredients together and
pour the mixture over the bread. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees
for 45 minutes. Serves 10-12
