One Gospel One Christ The Bible which has lasted more than 2000 years and has been translated into just about every language. And in all translations and modified interpretations has always maintained "One Gospel" which is the story of the "One and only Christ Jesus". We all know the word "Gospel" means "Good News" or "Good Message", and the content of this good news is the story of Jesus the son of God. Our Lord and Savior! In Galatians 1:6-10, Paul also states: 6) I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, (7) which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. (8) But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. (9) As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (10) For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. Paul is addressing the church of Galatia, and is clearly stating that he is amazed (marvel) that the people are turning away from the Christ which he has preached. The Christ which has sacrificed himself for them and for us. This statement Paul is making, some 2000 years ago, is unfortunately true today. Many preachers on radio, television, written books, and maybe your own church; are presumably preaching about Jesus of the Bible. But for some reason the Jesus they are preaching is not the same as the one in the Bible. The Jesus or Christ they preach has somehow changed, and has become more tolerate of lying, cheating, greed, and lust. Their Jesus has somehow become the brother of Lucifer, has actually by some miracle, survived the crucifixion and got married and raised a family. In the Epistle 1Peter 5:8 starts with a strong statement "Be sober, be vigilant"; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. My brothers and sisters in Christ, I urge you to take this verse to heart, and be aware of your surroundings. Yes, your surroundings "radio, television, books, internet, and even our own churches. All the information and material we believe is helping us on our walk with Christ.
I know my Jesus, and he is not tolerant of lying, cheating, greed, lust, and trying to improve upon the greatest story ever "The Gospel- The Bible". Which by the way, has more evidence thru archaeological finds and old writings, proving the stories of the Bible are true than us believing in UFO's. We do not need an episode of X Files, to show us the truth! In 2Timothy 2:15 It states "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." This verse is clear; study the word, and if you are presented with information which does not feel right, research the Bible or clearly stated "see what the word of God says". One of the spiritual gifts, given to most of us is "Discernment" which is the ability to distinguish the truth. Unfortunately we tend to shut this gift down in order to please others. We intentionally shut this down because we do not want to stir the pot, create waves, stand out, or be a trouble maker. Well I have a question for you "Would your Jesus stand for this", and "Is your Jesus the same one as the Jesus in the Bible"? I know my Jesus, would not let me stand still and let my brothers and sisters become lost because of a watered down or corrupted gospel.
